Genesis believes in the transformative power of being fully present with her clients. Through mindful attention and empathetic listening, she seeks to create a therapeutic space in which clients feel genuinely seen, heard, and valued. From this foundation of presence, Genesis invites clients to meet their inner experiences with care and curiosity rather than judgment or urgency.
In her work, Genesis approaches emotions not as something happening to a person, but as experiences moving through them—carrying information, energy, and meaning. Rather than viewing distress as evidence that something is broken or in need of fixing, she focuses on identifying the pathways that allow emotions to move, integrate, and soften. This relational process can reduce suffering while strengthening a client’s capacity to be in meaningful relationship with themselves.
Drawing from mindfulness-based, relational, and somatic approaches, Genesis supports clients in noticing patterns that may no longer serve them, deepening self-awareness, and cultivating emotional regulation and balance. The work is not about becoming someone different, but about fostering presence, choice, and compassion so that one’s authentic self has more space to emerge.
Rooted in a social justice framework, Genesis is committed to creating a therapeutic environment that is safe, inclusive, and affirming, particularly for individuals with marginalized or oppressed identities. She recognizes that emotional suffering does not occur in a vacuum and holds the impact of systemic inequities and lived experience with respect and care.
Whether clients are navigating life transitions, healing from trauma, or seeking deeper alignment with themselves, Genesis walks alongside them in the therapeutic process. She looks forward to supporting a path of healing that honors wholeness, fosters resilience, and invites a more connected relationship with who clients already are.
Outside of her clinical work, Genesis finds meaning in stories, nature, and practices that help her return to presence. She loves reading and collecting books and finds nourishment in being immersed in other worlds through literature and thoughtful storytelling.
Genesis is an herbalist in training and feels deeply connected to the natural world, which offers grounding, rhythm, and restoration. She also engages in yoga, breathwork, and somatic practices as part of her ongoing relationship with awareness, care, and embodied listening.
She values time with herself, her friends, family, and her dog, and finds joy in shared meals, exploring new cuisines, and cooking for others. In quieter moments, Genesis turns to journaling and writing, as well as watching television—especially anime and character-driven dramas—as ways of staying connected to narrative, emotion, and meaning.
