Hi! My name is Jahnay Ford. I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology with a minor in Sociology from William Paterson University. In addition, I am currently working towards obtaining my Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy (MFT) from La Salle University. I have experience providing both case management and group therapy to adults in outpatient mental health settings in the state of New Jersey, as well as experience working with depression, anxiety, mood and/or behavioral disorders, interpersonal and/or intrapersonal relationships, and daily life stressors. My approach to therapy is centered on meeting clients where they are today. Using integrative therapeutic approaches unique to each individual my hope is to actively encourage a better understanding of self and improve coping skills that can be utilized both inside and outside of therapy.
I like to think that all persons just want to be seen, heard and valued keeping this in mind allows me to create a space full of empathy and a desire to understand those who continue to be misunderstood and undervalued
