SUMMARY:Fishtown Wellness Center's Online Grief Group
DESCRIPTION:Join Fishtown Wellness Center as we meet online every other Tuesday in this open Grief and Loss Group for folks 18+\n\n\nFishtown Wellness Center’s Online Grief Group \nLoss and grief are natural parts of our human experience. For the most part\, our psychologies intuitively know how to move through grief if we are given the opportunity. The purpose of this group is to create space for that natural process of grief and growth. The group is facilitated by a therapist\, but it is fundamentally a support group for people to learn about grief\, talk about the losses they have experienced\, and support others in community. There are many types of loss\, all of which are important to process\, but this group will focus primarily on human loss\, such as the death of a loved one. \nThe group is for ages 18+. \nThe group is also ‘open\,’ meaning you are invited to come as often as you need. \nThis group will meet every other Tuesday\, beginning 11/2/21\, from 7-8:30pm EST \nThe Group will be meeting the following dates: \n– Tuesday November 2nd\, 7-8:30pm EST \n– Tuesday November 16th\,7-8:30pm EST \n– Tuesday November 20th \,7-8:30pm EST \n– Tuesday December 14th\, 7-8:30pm EST \nThe Group will continue as needed! \nAbout the Facilitator: \nNathan Houck (he/him) graduated from Chestnut Hill College with a master’s degree in Clinical & Counseling Psychology. He has been working as a therapist for multiple years and has experience working with loss and grief in both mental health and substance abuse settings. Nathan currently works as a therapist with Fishtown Wellness Center in Philadelphia. \nFor more information on Nathan and others at Fishtown Wellness Center: https://fishtownwellness.com/nathan-houck/

SUMMARY:Fishtown Wellness Mental Health and Creative Arts Workshop
DESCRIPTION:Join Fishtown Wellness Center as we welcome artist Mari “Mars” Champagne in hosting a workshop on creative expression!\n\n\nAbout the Facilitator: \nMari is a Western Mass based artist\, activist and empowered embodied awareness coach. Being a queer BIPOC as well as having privilege from their up bringing\, Mari recognizes having access to healing\, allies\, and education is a birthright and is deeply lacking in a lot of our society. In their work\, Mari holds 1:1 and community containers with “Compassion\, care\, creating sacred space for messy authenticity.” Through the spaces they hold\, Mari hopes to spark the intuitive complex of participants as they navigate their daily lives so they can grow towards their desires.” \nMore about Mari: \nI am an adopted bipoc queer person(pronouns they/she) who grew up in Northampton. I have always stood as a voice for change and optimism among my family and friends. Last year after the killing of George Floyd and the start of the pandemic I knew I needed to spread my voice into the community. \nLast summer I became a lead organizer\, workshop facilitator\, and mural designer for the YEA Collective and our first mural went up along the Northampton Bike Path last October. \nThrough the YEA Collective I facilitated workshops for the youth around racial justice. These conversations had a deep root in mindfulness and empowerment. This spring last spring I co-facilitated a two day workshop series on how supremacy is held in our systems of self care at Amherst College. \n Since these workshops\, I’ve leaned into my passion as an empowered embodied awareness coach for 1:1 clients and group spaces. I will be branching out as a workshop facilitator at AmeriCorp: Dial Self in Greenfield. July\, I also facilitated a space on how we release supremacy through art including breath and body movement at the Artists Hub in CT. I was also a part of their HEAL Fest a few weeks back. \nI currently work with 1:1 clients in intuitive growth and held a workshop space on intuitive goal setting about a week ago. This work is deeply my passion. I often leave these spaces filled with tears because of how much beauty and depth is uncovered within them. I truly love this work. \nContact Information: \nMari “Mars” Champagne \nmarijeanart@gmail.com \nNewlyyouempowerment.com \n \n\n\n\n\nArt by Mari “Mars” Champagne
